From 2014 to 2016, LEGO fan media website Brickset ran several competitions themed around Mixels. These contests were notable for their large engagement, with dozens of entries in each. All of these contests typically had three winners, with each receiving various LEGO prizes.

Series 1

The first competition held on Brickset was an untitled contest with the aim of creating a new Mix or Max out of Series 1 Mixels, held from March 19, 2014, until April 2.[1] With over 300 entries, the winners received various LEGO prizes, provided by The LEGO Group's CEE team. [2]

Series 2 Building Competition

The Series 2 Building Competition was the second contest hosted by Brickset, held from June 9, 2014, to July 6.[3] Unlike the previous competition, the objective was to submit a Max model of a Series 2 tribe. The three winners received various LEGO prizes, as well as a joint third place winner. [4]

Series 3 Building Competition

The Series 3 Building Competition was the third contest hosted by Brickset, held from September 17, 2014, to October 19.[5] The objective was to submit a Max model of a Series 3 tribe. The three winners received various LEGO prizes, with two runner-ups also receiving a custom Brickset minifigure. [6]

Series 4 Building Competition

The Series 4 Building Competition was the fourth contest hosted by Brickset, held from February 13, 2015, to March 29.[7] The objective was to submit a Max model of a Series 4 tribe. The three winners received various LEGO prizes. [8]

Mixel-Making Competition

The Mixel-Making Competition was the final contest hosted by Brickset, held in October 2016. [9] All entries had to be received by December 31, 2016. Entrants were tasked with creating a unique tribe of three Mixels in the style of official Mixels sets. Three winners received various LEGO prizes and artwork depictions of their entries.
